The Community Investments Group of AEGON USA Realty
Advisors, Inc. places
direct investments in high quality affordable
housing communities nationwide with dedicated
developers. The Community Investments Group is deeply experienced, responsive,
flexible and solution-based.
The Community Investments Group invests directly in
low income housing and historic tax credit
partnerships with for-profit and non-profit
sponsors. We look for development partners with a
history of success and dedication to building
long-term, high quality communities. In addition, we
have the ability to offer permanent loans and bridge
financing along with our equity.
The Community Investments Group, as a direct investor
for our life companies has the ability to
customize pricing and pay-in schedules to meet the
needs of each individual development. Each development only goes through one
Investment Committee review and one underwriting
within 30 days of a signed Letter of Intent. We work
with deeply experienced counsel to work toward a
timely closing.
AEGON USA Realty Advisors, Inc. originates
commercial loans and tax-credit investments on
behalf of the U.S. domiciled AEGON companies which
have, as of September 2007 have
over $14 Billion in real estate assets. As of
June 22, 2007 those life insurers were rated "AA" (3rd of
21 ratings) by
Standard & Poors for financial strength and
operating performance.
The Community Investments Group has diverse
professional backgrounds in housing development and
finance, design, management and tax issues. One
dedicated team member works with each client
throughout the closing process to insure timeliness
and trust.
