The Community Investments Group invests directly in
low income housing and historic tax credit
partnerships with for-profit and non-profit
sponsors. We look for development partners with a
history of success and dedication to building
long-term, high quality communities. In addition, we
have the ability to offer permanent loans and bridge
financing along with our equity.
Each development only goes through one Investment
Committee review and one underwriting within 30 days
of a signed Letter of Intent. We work with deeply
experienced counsel to work toward a timely closing.
We have the ability to
customize our equity funding schedules to meet the
needs of each project and to fund quickly. The
investing life company
will issue either a pledge of its interest or
recourse capital notes as evidence of its obligation
to provide funding upon completion and
stabilization. Construction lenders find this pledge
to acceptable
collateral.
