Since 2001, the Capital Markets Group [CMG] of AEGON USA
Realty Advisors, Inc. has provided
high-yield lending to Realty’s clients in the form
of mezzanine loans and B-notes, and has interacted
with the real estate capital markets as Realty
Advisors’ mortgage trading desk.
In 2007, CMG has closed
over
$650 million in loans and investments. These
investments were made as direct high-yield loans to
our borrowers, or through the purchase of B-notes
and mezzanine loans from other lenders and senior
mortgages in syndicated or whole loan form. For more

coordination with our Mortgage Loan group to
structure loans that are flexible and customized to
meet an asset or borrower’s unique circumstances.
The CMG also is AEGON USA Realty Advisors, Inc.’s principal platform to sell
real estate debt and find ways to use innovative
capital markets tools to create more yield on
existing assets for our institutional clients.
In the past we have contributed loans directly to CMBS pools and sold loans into the secondary loan
market. |
